A no-fuss, crowd-pleasing grilled corn recipe featuring fresh corn slathered with butter and sprinkled with salt, perfect for summer BBQs and quick dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob (medium-sized)
  • 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) coarse sea salt or kosher salt
  • Optional: freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C), about 10 minutes.
  2. Peel back the husks without detaching them and remove the silk threads. Optionally soak corn in cold water for 10 minutes to prevent burning.
  3. Spread softened unsalted butter evenly over each ear of corn using a butter knife or brush.
  4. Place the corn directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning every 3-4 minutes with tongs to ensure even charring.
  5. Remove corn from grill and immediately sprinkle with coarse sea salt or kosher salt.
  6. Optionally add freshly ground black pepper or chopped herbs for extra flavor.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and buttery.

Notes

Preheat grill properly for best char and flavor. Turn corn frequently to avoid burning. Use softened butter for even coating. Avoid flare-ups by watching for dripping butter. Soaking corn is optional and affects crispness.
