Quick, easy, and delicious turkey and cheese pinwheel wraps perfect for school lunches, work lunches, picnics, or a lazy Saturday snack. Made with simple ingredients and a clever technique, these wraps are a crowd-pleaser that comes together in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size, about 10 inches)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices deli turkey breast
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or ranch dressing (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes or microwaving for 10 seconds on low power.
  2. Lay one large flour tortilla flat on a cutting board. If cold, microwave for 10 seconds to make pliable.
  3. Spread a thin, even layer of softened cream cheese all the way to the edges of the tortilla.
  4. If using, spread a very thin layer of mayonnaise or ranch dressing over the cream cheese.
  5. Place 2 slices of deli turkey on the cream cheese, slightly overlapping, covering the entire surface evenly.
  6. Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese over the turkey and press down gently.
  7. Spread about 1/4 cup of shredded lettuce over the cheese in a thin, even layer.
  8. Season lightly with a tiny pinch of salt and a crack of black pepper.
  9. Starting from one edge, roll the tortilla tightly, tucking the filling in as you go. Roll all the way to the other edge and press the seam gently to seal.
  10. Wrap the rolled tortilla seam-side down in plastic wrap, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper.
  11. Chill for at least 30 minutes (or up to 1 hour) to firm up the cream cheese.
  12. Unwrap the chilled roll and slice into 1-inch thick rounds using a sharp chef’s knife, wiping the knife clean between cuts.
  13. Arrange the pinwheels on a plate or in a lunch container. Serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to avoid tearing the tortilla. Chill the roll for at least 30 minutes before slicing to ensure clean cuts. If making ahead, store uncut rolls in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a lower-sodium option, use low-sodium deli turkey and skip the added salt.
