A simple and refreshing watermelon slushie made with just two ingredients—fresh watermelon and ice—perfect for cooling down on hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (600 grams) seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 2 cups (300 grams) ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Cut about 4 cups (600 grams) of seedless watermelon into cubes, removing seeds for a smooth texture.
  2. Place the watermelon cubes in your blender jar. Add 2 cups (300 grams) of ice cubes on top. For a thicker slush, add up to 1/2 cup (75 grams) more ice.
  3. Secure the lid and pulse the mixture several times to break down the ice, then blend on high for about 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy without large ice chunks.
  4. If the texture is too watery, add a bit more ice and pulse again. If too thick, add a few small watermelon pieces or a splash of cold water to loosen it up.
  5. Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately for best icy refreshment.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for maximum sweetness. Crushed ice blends more evenly than whole cubes. Avoid overblending to prevent melting the ice and diluting flavor. Chill glasses beforehand to keep the slushie cold longer. Optional add-ins include lime juice or mint leaves for extra flavor.
