A simple yet elegant fruit and cheese board featuring ripe summer fruits, creamy cheeses, savory prosciutto, and a homemade honey drizzle that ties all the flavors together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Peaches, sliced (ripe but firm)
  • Seedless green grapes
  • Fresh figs, halved (optional)
  • Strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Brie cheese, soft and creamy
  • Manchego cheese, sliced thin
  • Goat cheese log, crumbled or sliced
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced, about 4-6 oz
  • 2 tablespoons honey (wildflower honey recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon good quality olive oil
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Toasted nuts like almonds or pistachios
  • Crackers or sliced baguette (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the honey drizzle: In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, and a pinch of sea salt. Optionally add 1 teaspoon olive oil for a smoother finish. Set aside.
  2. Slice the fruit: Wash and slice peaches into thin wedges, hull and halve strawberries, halve figs if using, and rinse grapes. Arrange fruit in separate piles or clusters on your board.
  3. Slice the cheese: Cut brie into wedges, slice manchego thinly, and crumble or slice goat cheese. Place cheeses spaced out on the board.
  4. Arrange the prosciutto: Gently separate prosciutto slices and drape them artistically around the fruits and cheeses.
  5. Add extras: Scatter fresh mint leaves and toasted nuts across the board. Add small piles of crackers or sliced baguette on the side or corners.
  6. Drizzle the honey mixture: Using a spoon or drizzle bottle, lightly drizzle the honey mixture over the fruit, cheese, and prosciutto.
  7. Final touches: Fill any gaps with leftover fruit or nuts for a full, inviting look. Keep the board covered at room temperature if not serving immediately.

Notes

Use ripe but firm fruit to avoid sogginess. Let cheese come to room temperature before serving for best flavor. Lightly drizzle honey to balance flavors without overwhelming. Warm honey gently if too thick. For gluten-free, skip crackers or use nut-based crackers. For dairy-free, substitute cheeses with nut-based alternatives.
