This creamy, tangy, and spicy buffalo chicken dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser for game days and parties. Made with simple ingredients and ready in under 30 minutes, it’s the dish that disappears first every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the buffalo wing sauce and ranch dressing to the cream cheese. Mix on low speed until well combined and uniform in color.
  4. Fold in the shredded chicken, 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and the crumbled blue cheese (if using) with a spatula until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions just before serving.

Notes

For a smoother dip, ensure cream cheese is at room temperature. For a spicier kick, add extra buffalo sauce or cayenne pepper. For a milder version, use mild buffalo sauce or increase ranch dressing. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes after baking to thicken. Full-fat cream cheese is recommended for best texture.
